October 19 WoW Forever stress test: set up before the gates open

Put the regional start in your calendar

Blizzard’s stress-test announcement arrived at 00:24 on October 16 in Kyiv, although Kaivax’s post carries an October 15 UTC date. The event itself is on October 19. A WoW account lets you take part without an active subscription or a beta invitation.

For Europe, the opening is 19:00 CEST on October 19: 20:00 in Kyiv. Americas and Oceania have a 14:00 PDT opening. Taiwan and Korea start on October 20, at 05:00 Taipei time and 06:00 Korean time. Pick the time for your own region before arranging a group.

Choose the test client and a temporary character

Open World of Warcraft in the Battle.net desktop app. In the game-version menu, look under In Development for World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test. Install that entry before the session. The ordinary beta installation is not the version Blizzard tells participants to choose.

Do not spend the session reserving a favourite name. Blizzard plans to remove the test characters, their names and guilds afterward. Bring a small test plan instead: enter the realm, try a quest, trade something and form a group. Note where an attempt fails, and whether repeating it gives the same result.

The regular beta goes offline for the event and is expected back afterward. The test window can change, so check Blizzard’s announcement again before logging in. Progress from this session is disposable.

Practise the routine on our free server

TWOW.PARTY is our free independent server for training and checking available mechanics. Before a short test window, you can practise your group role or work out how to record a repeatable problem. Start at https://twow.party/?lang=en#play and check the realm’s client version. This does not give you access to Blizzard’s stress test or confirm that its changes are installed here. Keep the two sets of results separate.
