WoW Forever

WoW Forever : Blizzard responds to the artwork

Kaivax says artwork found in the latest Forever is not meant for this version of WoW. His forum reply names no individual assets and does not explain where they will be used.

A furious orc wears a collapsing cardboard crown while a manic gnome inspects it and a cynical elf holds a broken piece in a gloomy archive.

What the reply says

Kaivax addressed the artwork on October 16, in a staff post on the official WoW forums. He acknowledged that art assets had been extracted from the latest Forever build. His explanation: the artwork wasn't meant for that version of WoW. His reply names no individual assets and gives no alternative destination. It reached Kyiv readers just after midnight on October 17.

Read the correction before sharing a preview

Suppose somebody shares a model preview and calls it an upcoming reward. What would establish that claim? A Blizzard announcement describing the reward, or a check that it can be obtained in the relevant build. Finding the model answers neither question. In this case there is also a staff correction to read before passing the rumour along.

When sharing the image, include that correction rather than leaving friends to infer an announcement. Keep the build number with it, too. If a later update changes the story, you then have a dated point of comparison. Guessing where Blizzard might use the artwork adds nothing the post confirms.

A useful task for the next practice session

Our independent TWOW.PARTY/Forever server is free for learning controls, practising mechanics and checking changes available on its own version. Pick a mechanic you can actually try there and check the realm version first. Compatibility with the latest Blizzard is unconfirmed; an image in its files promises no feature on our server.
